Execution

Resources and logistics

How crews, equipment, deliveries, and inventory are tracked as the logistics layer of Execution.

Updated 2026-08-22

Resources & Logistics covers crews, equipment, deliveries, and inventory.

This is the layer that explains why production moved or stalled: who was on site, which machines ran, what arrived, and what is in the yard.

Crews and equipment

Crew and equipment records support planning and daily assignment. They should be reconcilable with labour and equipment assumptions in the estimate if you intend to learn from productivity.

Deliveries and inventory

Deliveries are inbound logistics events. Inventory is what remains available. Together they prevent the familiar field failure: the crew is ready and the piles are still on a boat.

Procurement commitments and Execution deliveries describe the same material at different moments. Use the project record to connect them rather than a side tracker.
