Trade & Tariff overview

How country of origin, duties, and landed-cost reference data can inform sourcing — without treating the workspace as customs or legal advice.

Updated 2026-08-22

Trade & Tariff (also surfaced as the sourcing workspace) helps teams see how origin, duties, and landed-cost assumptions affect solar commodity sourcing. It is built around a stored reference catalog and saved application records.

What it can show

  • country-of-origin context for supported products
  • duty / tariff rates from the reference catalog
  • comparison across origins
  • landed-cost considerations when combined with freight and commercial inputs
  • alerts and risk flags maintained in the workspace

Figures in the product are from stored reference data and saved records. They are not a live customs feed.

What it is not

This workspace is not legal, customs, or tax advice. Classification, origin rules, and anti-dumping or countervailing measures can change and can depend on facts that only a licensed customs professional and your counsel can confirm. FTA eligibility, where shown, requires origin-rule review.

Do not issue a purchase order solely because a dashboard cell looked favorable.

How it connects

Duty and origin assumptions can change steel and module landed cost, which changes the estimate and the procurement package. Keep the same origin assumption in Trade & Tariff, estimating, and the RFQ.
